This past weekend Drew, Mom, Tammy, Kelsey, Lane and Neeley and I all travled down after work on Friday night to Santa Fe. I had a bunch of meetings on Saturday to finalize details. The trip down felt long but was all worth while as we pulled into town, rolled down our windows and smelled the pinion burning. I love Santa Fe at night! We got to our hotel and depacked and immediately went to the lounge to kick pack and enjoy for a few. Mom discovered her love of amaretto sours as we looked out over the lawn we would be married on.
Saturday morning we at breakfast at Fuego, the restaurant at La Posada which I think has some delicious eggs benedict. My first appointment was the florist who was so patient with me as I tried to explain the arrangements I wanted from her. She was sweet enough to take my centerpieces with her now so I wouldn't have to cart them back in a month. After the florist we went on a hunt for some local items I want to feature at the wedding, Santa Fe is such a fun place to shop around. Drew, Mom and I then went to meet the DJ at her house to finalize our music selections. It was so exciting to hear our ceremony music and really feel like the flow I was wanting will be conveyed through our selections.
The best part of our weekend in Santa Fe was our tasting. We are having our ceremony at a resort who will be doing all of our catering for our reception. I was sent a long menu to choose our menu selections from which was extremely hard because EVERYTHING looked amazing! We had a long table set up for the 7 of us at La Posada to have our tasting of the items I had selected at. We started with a brief meeting of where we are at with the planning of the wedding which made me feel 100% comfortable with wedding day and felt like everything will be well handled. We were then served appetizers I selected for cocktail hour, hot starters, soups, salads, and the most wonderful entrees. I cannot wait to eat at our reception because our final selections are incredible!
I am so grateful for the weekend we had to make me feel at ease with all the details and the support my family gave me throught the weekend! I cannot wait for March 30th!
This weekend is my Wedding Shower hosted by some wonderful family friends in Amarillo. I am so excited to start the official celebrations for our wedding!
