Moving ideas

I am about to move into a newer, bigger, better house with Neeley and our friend Brandais. I was lucky enough to draw the master bedroom. With it comes a large bathroom with separate shower and bath and a magnanamous closet. SO exciting!!

I am so ready to move in because I keep finding lots of things I want to make or buy to give my room an updated new look in the new house.

For instance, I have a lamp that is seriously in need of an overhaul. I will probably have to completely ditch the base because it is a wee bit broken up top but have seen some great DIY's on how to spruce up the shade.

I have also been eyeing some birdcages on ebay. I was given a old vintage looking one from a friend and think I need some more to complete my grouping.

I would spray paint this one Gold.

I have also been dying to make one of these swanky little wreaths for the door.

I have been wanting to put a little desk in my room. Somewhere to store my computer and maybe... just maybe keep me  a little more organized especially with wedding season coming up. I love the look of the telephone table and chair on the left but it is a little pricey.

I am thinking I will just find a cheap desk at a thrift store and paint and destress it like this one on Etsy.

Our new house also has a great benched area under a slotted roof for hanging out outside. We love to have cookouts and I can already tell this area will be a favorite!!

These lights would be perfect to provide some fun lighting for our nights of entertaining.

I am really feeling like doing a little craft tonight for the new house but the thought of having it sit at my current house until the move and then having to pack it up and move one more thing is swaying me to the negatory side!
