Our very own Royal Baby

Yesterday was an incredible day for us! We finally got to see our sweet little babe's picture. Mom, Drew and I went down for our first sonogram. The two of them bursting with excitement and me unbelieveably nervous.

When the little one's picture popped up on the screen we all held our breath, a little taken back and shocked that there was really a baby in there. Mom quickly asked "What is that?!" then she realized and sat back to enjoy the moment.

We are so thankful for a healthy peanut at such a frail stage and I am so thankful for a husband who was there to hold my hand and my Mom who was able to join us.

With a steady heartbeat of 162 I now can explain why I am so tired all the time! This child was on the move and after a quick glimpse of  a foot we spotted an arm that looked to be waving at us.

Can't wait to meet you sweet little one!

9 weeks: Update

We are 9 weeks along with our little nugget. It still seems so early in the spectrem of the process and still at such a very critical stage. I feel silly sharing about such small developments but in our lives each moment involving this growing babe is huge.

Morning Sickness hit with a vengence last week. I spent Sunday in bed trying to make sense of the nausea between trips to the bathroom. My Husband waited on me hand and foot all day long with unceasing patience.

Smells are really bothering me. I have traded in all my delicious Victoria Secret lotions and perfumes for plan ole Dove unscented ones. Sad.

My little VW convertible, two door car was severley damaged due to hail a couple months ago so we traded her in for a more family friendly ride... a Kia Borrego. I was excited for a time about the new car but now can't stand to drive it due to a smell I can't explain or describe I find in there. Normally I would love the smell.

Poor Drew never gets to drive anymore since my car sickness is at an all time high and driving is the only relief I can find while actually being in the car.

We had a check-up yesterday with our Dr. who told me I was disease free but we didn't get to have our sonogram until next week... waiting excitedly for that day!

NOLA

A few weekends ago, Mom, Drew and I flew to Dallas and met Patrick at the airport to fly down to good ole New Orleans to meet up with Ryan, Darrah, Paige and Peyton for the weekend.

In July Ryan and crew will be shippping out to Hawaii where the military is relocating them, before they move we wanted to get together one more time. New Orleans is a place most of us had never been before so that is where we met. We flew in late Friday night and met up with the rest of the family early Saturday morning, I say early because it was 8:30 which on a Saturday for me is extremely early!!

From top to Bottom: A very happy Nana with her girl, the Audbon Aquarium, being wowed by the stingrays at the aquarium.
Falls at the Aquarium. Me and my Momma.
Peyton upside down in her stroller, the tiled street sign on Bourbon St., Paige fake fighting with the silver man street performer.

We had the greatest time this weekend! We visited the Audobon Aquarium, walked the French Quarter, ate cajun food, went to an Imax movie on Katrina, walked Bourbon Street, at more cajun food, went to the Zoo, ate pizza with a cajun twist, took a horse drawn carriage tour of the French Quarter, took my picture in front of Sandra Bullock, Johnny Depp, and Brad and Angelina's New Orleans homes, walked some more, at more cajun food, visited the French Market, ate an incredible cajun buffet and then came home.

An awesome row of old buildings, me and my love.

Two of my favorites, New Orleans Jazz sign, freaking cool building on the corner

Eating at Patty 'O's... all sporting our Irish flair

I was suprised by how much I truly enjoyed New Orleans, the history of the town, the unique characters, the musicians on the streets, the incredible architecture all captivated me! I was less inspired by the cajun food since I am in my first tri-mester and and uncooked seafood is a NO GO for me but I enjoyed the bits I was able to have. Walking wore me down by the end of the long hot days this little mama to be was ready to rest her feet and lay in bed. My husband and brothers experienced a little more of the New Orleans nightlife than I did but I was so happy with my experience and adventures there. Definitely on the list to go back to!

Twinkies, My husband at a special breakfast, my favorite breakfast ever!

Riding the street car Patrick and Mom, the Street Car, our Hotel's nameplate, two sneaky people

Darrah and Peyton checking out the Zebras which were Peyton's favorite. She may or may not have said goodbye to them and been extremely sad after leaving. She recovered though and was adorable posing on this monkey statue.

It was a blast to spend the past few days with Ryan, Darrah, Paigey and Peyton! They showed us their favorite hangouts and took us all through the French Quarter. We were all happy to get a chance to love on them a little before they make their long journey to Hawaii. It will most likely be another year before we are able to make a trip to Hawaii to see them at which point we will be traveling with a newborn, yikes!!

Top Left and Bottome Right: Sandra Bullok's new house in NOLA and of course me in front of it.
Top Right and Bottom Left: Brad Pitt and Angelina's house in New Orleans, they were there the day before.
The oldest bar in the USA, it is also haunted. Me and my handsome hubs.

Some incredible Wisteria at The Court of Two Sisters where we had a cajun buffett breakfast. Me and Peyton snapping pics, She took this good one of Darrah.

Love and Happiness being together.

Thank you for meeting us in New Orleans! We loved it and love you guys! We will miss you greatly!!! Can't wait to make our visit to Hawaii!!
